Project name: Informal Settlements Upgrade Technical Assistance
The Arab Republic of Egypt has received financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Informal Settlements Upgrade Technical Assistance, and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for “Mapping information System dashboard - System Reform”.
The services under this project are including but not limited to the following
- Phase 1: Data information Entry and processing: The consultant will deploy the existing data provided by the ISDF to its appropriate attributes and fields of entry creating various layers of information. The proposed attributes has to be design and structured so that they can be easily integrated and connected when the time comes
- Phase 2: Development of Database server and database update procedure (Portal Coding design) Design and translating the database organized and delivered into a coding system according to norms and standards for disseminating geospatial data. A functional and user‐friendly menu will be developed for the portal
- Phase 3: Portal Design and Technical Specifications: The consultant must define user profiles for the geo-media access dashboard and search portal, as well as a grid of possible operations (search, update, downloading, back‐office access, and so on). This phase will tackle the part related to the design phase of the dashboard portal.
- Phase 4: Portal Access and Search portal implementation: Expected result from the developed portal is examining the developed and designed GeoMedia spatial dashboard as a publishing platform to create and Extract both high Map production and Data retrieval and statistical analysis successfully, giving extensive technical support and conducting training sessions for officials assigned from the ISDF for this mission as well.

The INFORMAL SETTLEMENTS DEVELOPMENT FUND (ISDF) invites eligible consultants firms to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services as follows
- Valid commercial registration
- Brochures, description of similar assignments and conditions
- Availability of appropriate skills among staff
Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “PROCUREMENT POLICY FOR BANK GROUP FUNDED OPERATIONS” dated October 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
